Jack McKenna and Ally Conner are two lost souls who need to find each other again in order to move on…..
Four years ago Jack, Ally and their friend Callum got into an accident that left Ally disabled from the waist down, from a spinal injury, and that had Jack running the away from the guilt that was eating away at him.
Four years later Jack gets news that had him going home. Will he stay home and fix what had happened or will he go back running again? Or will it be what Jack has been up to for the last four years that caught up with him have him running back?
But the bigger and main question is, will Callum and Ally accept and give Jack the chance to redeem himself and try to salvage a semblance of the relationship they had or even to create a new relationship?
This book was definitely harder and a heavier read than what I usually read. I rather like to read fluffy and light books, but I do enjoy myself a heavy book every once in a while. It was hard at times to continue to read it and digest it and at other times I just wanted to curl up and cry for their pain. This story was beautifully written. Something about it just had me captivated that it had me reading it till the end even though at times I just wanted to throw my phone across my room and just say forget it. Over all I really enjoyed this book. I give this book four stars.
