Pretty good book! Started off a bit slow but once I hit the third chapter I couldn’t put it down. Nevada doesn’t have the best parents so she’s been bounced from house to house in her fathers MC Kings of Chaos. The KOC think of her as their own and when one of the newer members tries to take advantage of her Wizard steps in and lays claim to Nevada. Wizard is one of the older members of the KOC and I love him! He’s a total bad a**. He claims Nevada to protect her but their relationship quickly develops into something more.
I really enjoyed the original plot and I loved both Nevada and Wizard. Their personalities really shone through – the characters were well developed. I loved that even though Nevada was dealt a crap hand at the beginning of her life she’s not the typical “damsel in distress” she’s tough and stands up for herself when she needs to. I also really enjoyed that it's written from dual POV so you can know what they're both thinking. Great book! Can’t wait to read more of this series!
I’m seeing Nevy for the first time as a woman and not Hulk’s daughter. She rounds the corner and I watch her ass flex. The black lycra shorts hug her round derriere like a second skin. My body heats, and I shift my weight to relieve the tension forming in my jeans. I’m not going to be able to go back to seeing her any other way. It’s like a blindfold has been removed. Yet thinking she’s hot doesn’t mean I have to launch headfirst into anything. Sipping on the scotch, the tension leaves my body and I study her as she interacts with her co-workers.
Shyla Colt grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, but has lived a variety of different places thanks to her wanderlust, interesting careers, and marriage to a United States Marine. She’s always loved books and wrote her very first novel at the age of fifteen. She keeps a copy of her first submission letter on her desk for inspiration.
After a lifetime of traveling, she settled down and knew her time had come to write. Diving into her new career like she does everything else, with enthusiasm, research and a lot of prayers, she had her first book published in June of 2011. As a full-time writer, stay at home mother, and wife, there’s never a dull moment in her household.
She weaves her tales in spare moments and the evenings with a cup of coffee or tea at her side and the characters in her head for company. A self-professed rebel with a pen. Her goal is to diversify romance as she continues to genre hop, and offer up strong female characters.
