This is my second Keri Lake book and they’ve both been pretty great! This book is told from dual POV of Aubree and Nick. I applaud the author on being able to write a dark character like Nick that you can’t help but to love. Definite swoon worthy material after just a few chapters. Nick suffers from the loss of his wife and son and because of an injury has frequent blackouts. Nick captures Aubree and holds her captive believing her responsible for the loss of his family. This read is an emotional roller coaster, I laughed and I cried more then once.
It’s fantastically written and had a captivating plotline. The characters are so well-developed, I felt like I knew them personally and was heavily invested in their lives by the end. Phenomenal read – highly recommend you check it out!
