4 Stars
Ten months about Emma suffered through horrible tragedies. First her parents were killed in a car accident and a month later her grandfather died of a heart attack. After finding out her grandfather has left her the house she spent the beginning of her life growing up in, Emma decides she wants to move back. While Emma has kept in touch with one of her childhood best friends, Lila, she has not kept in touch with Lila's brothers Dane and Ryan. It has been years since she has seen either one and she assumes they have changed. Little does she know the instant attraction and calming ability Dane has on her. Fighting to keep her compose and keep Dane a distance becomes a full time job for Emma. Will she allow Dane to break down the walls she has erected or will she keep herself closed in.

Dane is a complex character. I would love a Dane for myself, but at times he can just be some dumb. On more then one occasion I found myself wanting to smack him upside his head. Yet at others I felt bad for him because everyone was so hard on him. Emma has had so much happen in such a short period of time you have to wonder how she is still going. Alex, her best friend is a big part of helping her continue on. Really he is the only family she has left, but coming back home has opened her eyes to how much others care about her. The characters and story line were so well though out and keep you wanting more. The sexual tension and cute banter between Dane and Emma keeps you guessing what is going to happen next. Ashley Erin did a great job in the first standalone in this series. If you are looking for a cute, quick, fun read I recommending picking this book up. I will warn you don't get mad when Ashley Erin sucks you in and you want to read the next book because I know I am looking forward to it!
