Andie as one rule she has come to live by...No Assholes! So of course her first day on campus at Parkland University who does she meet but an asshole. That is after of course her asshole brother doesn't show up to help her move. Yes this is the life poor Andie lives. She just can't escape her one rule. Lucas is having a rough day. Feeling guilty for leaving his sister and nephew at the hospital to come back to the university has left his mind somewhere else. After quickly changing his lifestyle a few years prior after seeing what his sister was going through Lucas keeps to himself when it comes to women. Now stuck living next to each other both are trying to keep the rules they live by intact, but the pull between them is irresistible.
Right off the bat I must say the name of this book caught my attention. What woman at some point in her life doesn't make this rule. We have all seen, heard, and dated the asshole. Andie has seen, heard, lived with, dated, and grown up with almost every man in her life being an asshole. Of course she isn't surprise when her new neighbor ends up being one. Over time though it seems like maybe Andie had the wrong first impression. Lucas has his close friends, but avoids women. He is instantly intrigued by his new feisty neighbor. When her brother moves in it gives him the perfect opportunity to get to know her better and work to make her drop her walls. Their pasts have it out to break them apart, but some relationships are meant to withstand it all. The question is will Lucas will still be around when Andie's past comes back full throttle. Wonderful chemistry and secondary characters. Great story line and title to catch the reader. I can not wait to see who Ashley Erin has up next.
